100% of Ajyal’s students scored at or above proficiency level on national standardized MAP Testing
Ajyal Academy utilizes MAP (Measures of Academic Progress developed by NWEA) and Star Literacy testing to measure our students’ progress against national standardized benchmarks. Over 13 millions students utilize MAP testing each year.
In our inaugural year, 100% of our students scored at or above proficiency levels! Only one other school in Northeast Florida achieved similar results, Jacksonville Beaches Elementary, a dedicated magnate school that only accepts academically talented students and is ranked No. 1 public school in Florida. 20% of Ajyal’s students tested as “gifted”, scoring in the top 5% against 13+ million students. And what is more noteworthy, 93% of our students scored at or above the national average for growth and progress compared to their baseline Fall 2025 scores…meaning they made more progress than the vast majority of students nationally.

We don’t stop with academic excellence, our students also excel in Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies education.
In addition to core academics, our students also have an average of two hours of Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies education each day. We call this our QAIS program.
Utilizing our proprietary QAIS scoring system, 96% of our students achieved “high” progress on QAIS testing from their baseline in Fall 2025. This achievement is incredible considering students enter Ajyal at drastically different levels of proficiency of QAIS education. Utilizing an individualized approach to QAIS education that considers a child’s maturity, knowledge of Quran and tajweed principles, Arabic understanding and Islamic knowledge, we divide students in appropriate learning groups.
Our Tafakkur Curriculum
In addition to our core QAIS curriculum, we utilize Tafakkur. This is a revolutionary education framework designed to foster deep reflection, contemplative thinking, and spiritual awareness, often focusing on connecting Quranic principles with nature and personal development. Our QAIS Director (Reem Nemer) is certified and advanced trained in Tafakkur and we worked closely with the creators of this program to accommodate American Muslim students.
Our proprietary QAIS curriculums and approach to Islamic education ensures a robust, deep and mature approach to educating our students in a way that honors our deen and our American identity.
